The Sun is out this WEEK!

In the Pinedale region this week temps are on the rise!  Nicest day of the 2017 year was today!  Lots of sunshine means change and that is the biggest take-away from this report.

Green River:

The Flows are on the RISE!  The Green River has seen a increase to 854 cfs today, which is double that of 4 days ago!  We all knew this was coming, but when was the question.  With our temp today in Pinedale reaching over 70 degrees for the first time in 2017-  Some serious snow melt is on the way.  Fishing today was still solid and some BIG fish are being caught.  Streamers or Nymphs are the name of the game.  Nymph game is big bead heads and stone fly patterns–  if all else fails “WORK the WORM”.  Streamers have been producing some BIG fish and the patterns seem to be all over the place.  Use your Go-To pattern, you’ll fish it harder and with more confidence.  If you want our advice-  throw BLACK or something SHINNY! Fishing conditions are changing daily and keep your eye on the flows-  the clarity will become an issue very soon.

New Fork:

The Flows on the New Fork were 718 near the Confluence and have been steady the last week.  This will also be changing, but at the current moment, the water looks perfect.  The best fishing is still from town to airport and Nymphing is the best bet.  Same bugs as the Green River, streamers seem to be a little slower with fishing hook ups, but the size can pay off.  Our guides have been very grateful for the last few days with great fishing, but its not to far around the corner and we will be getting some snow melt running into the river from pole creek, boulder creek, and east fork river and that will change things.  Happy Double Hauling in the Wyoming WIND!
