The Green River
360 CFS at Warren Bridge Gauging Station
The Green River is fishing well up high-the access road is still closed, but it is worth a hike. Down low we are seeing muddy water from the rain and warm days. To fish the areas with little clarity, look to the soft water and banks for fish. The forecasted cold nights will help clear up the water. Streamers are the best option, but nymph fishing will improve if the water temperatures drop. Rainbows are spawning-please respect the fisheries and disrupt the spawning beds as little as possible.
The New Fork River
356 CFS at Gauging Station Near Big Piney
The New Fork is running low and off-color in spots, but still fishing well. Low traffic and a lack of pressure make the difference. Streamers are the most productive right now and Blue Wing Olives are coming off. It is just a matter of time before we start seeing surface action with our warmer temperatures lately, so be sure and have some BWO’s on hand. Tread lightly!
