For Jon, this design serves as a token of his appreciation for Carnival culture across the Caribbean. For Carnival 2019, Jon and his fiancé spent two weeks in Trinidad & Tobago (where she is from) enjoying parties, music, and some beach time with friends and family there. In Jon’s words, “It was easily one of the best experiences I’ve had abroad – and we plan to do it again soon.” While Trinidad & Tobago lay claim to the Caribbean’s largest and most renowned Carnival year to year, this bandana celebrates the Carnival culture of all across the region from which it originates in the west. Places such as Rio De Jainero, New Orleans, Jamaica, etc – each offer their own unique brand of the “Carnival” and, as such, are celebrated in this incredible, original piece.
